I found one of the chase figures (deliberately rare) from The Dark Knight (Batman sans-mask) at Toys 'R' Us for $5. Pretty sweet deal, especially when you take into consideration that they tend to go for $20-40 on eBay.

TRU also had the Star Wars Evolutions packs on sale for half price, so I grabbed up 2 of those (Imperial Pilot and Rebel Pilot Series 2).

In other Star Wars figure news, I'm waiting on a red card PotF2 Boba Fett, but I'm starting to get kinda worried. Won the eBay auction Sunday night and have yet to recieve any communication from the seller. I'm gonna prod him with an email Sunday and see what's up with that. It'll mark the first time I've had any issues with eBay sellers.

Wednesday, my "Death of Spock" figure set arrived. Includes an irradiated Spock after he's saved the Enterprise and her crew from destruction in the Mutara sector and Admiral Kirk. Not the best looking Spock I've seen, but I imagine it'd be difficult to really look like Spock in that scene in a 6" scale figure. Now I just need to get Scotty from Wrath of Khan...

For those interested, Big Lots has the 3.75" Star Trek figures for $3 and the 6" ones for $5. If I'd known Playmates was gonna flake on the line and the price was gonna drop that much, I'd have waited until now to buy them. I may still pick up an extra set to keep in the packaging. I did pick up a Spock Prime 12" figure since they're on clearance pretty much everywhere for $15, but the elder ambassador doesn't like to stand up, even though he's on a base. I guess old age finally got to him.

A few months back, I started work on a little piece of software to keep track of action figure collections. I got frustrated after a day or two with data not being written to the DB, so I forgot about it for a while. Earlier tonight, I picked it back up and powered through the issue (I had forgot to use a commit command, d'oh!), so, barring difficults with updates/deletes, the little bastard should be finished in a few more hours of coding. Then, I'll just have to smooth out the UI and work on implementing some more advanced features that I've never attempted before.
