(no subject)

I'm considering setting up a network in the house once I get broadband (or later today or tomorrow). I'd like to go wireless (due to rules in the apartments I live in), but I have no real experience with them. Can it be done sans-router/hub? What about setting up a hard-wired network sans-router/hub? Is it relatively simple? Even though I'm excellent with networks, I've never set one up.
