Just checked the mail, and it contained a refund check because of the drop in my car insurance rate. It was apparently effective as soon as I changed my address, so I got $100.20 back.

HL2 get!

I bought the Half-Life 2 Game of the Year Edition...only to remember that my lappy's optical drive doesn't like CDs. Looks like I'll be ripping them to get it installed (no, I couldn't have purchased through Steam, as I have no credit or debit card).

Hmm...I might install it on my brother's desktop, activate it with Steam, uninstall it, and then reinstall it through Steam on the lappy.
