Yay!

Debby working until 2200 (ended up staying to about 2230, though) wasn't too bad. She didn't have me do anything all that...insane when it comes to cleaning (this is the same woman who spent 45 freaking minutes scrubbing the wheels of the fryers one night). I gave her my two weeks notice (more like 3.5, since I'm leaving Aug. 17th (I want another paycheck)). She hinted at wanting me to stay on and work there. Yeah...not gonna happen unless I really, really need the cash.

The computer system's HDD died sometime earlier in the day. So we had to close and "reopen" (from the computer system's point of view) the store just to clock out. Well, about 0200, SEI hadn't called back telling us it was okay to "reopen" the store. Linda let me and Heather leave while her and Reta stayed and waited to clock us all out. So, umm, I should be getting paid for time I wasn't physically there (and about 15 minutes or so of just sitting out behind the store talking).

While sitting out behind the store, conversation managed to drift to dirty diapers because of the trash can next to us stinking and the one out front having a dirty diaper down in the bottom for about a month. That prompted Reta to tell a tale about one of her kids. He hadn't crapped for a few days, so she took him to the doctor, who gave her a prescription for meds to get the kid crapping again. While at the pharmacy, the kid goes, "I gotta poop! I gotta poop!...Too late!" Reta just looked at the pharmacist and went, "Just cancel the prescription." The kid had shit himself bad enough to where it ran down into his shoes.

That's the kind of people the closers are.
