(no subject)

Well...I was installing Gentoo, and it finally gave me enough information to determine why it was being a pain in the ass...the HD is flaky. I knew that it was and was prone to data loss, but I hoped it would be good enough to hold out for a little while longer. I guess I'll have to get up off my lazy ass and pull the 6GB drive out of my brother's machine and try installing from there. I could use that 20GB drive I bought from my brother...but I want that for my XP machine.
