The Vacation
Aug. 6th, 2004 09:40 pmI'll just cover the interesting bits.
Saturday: We had barely left when my mom's boyfriend (Matt) realized that he had left his cigarettes on the roof of the car. They were successfully reclaimed. We stopped for lunch at this gas station/store/several fast food places. They had a wireless hotspot, but I don't have a laptop. We arrived at the hotel around 5-6. We ate at this place called "Ultimate California Pizza." The pizza was great, and the place didn't water down the soda with soda water. I wouldn't have mentioned that, but every place I've eaten at for the past two weeks has watered down the soda.
Sunday: I went out and walked down to the Pavilion area. I found an interesting gift shop...The Gay Dolphin. I just had to go in it. Everything was a bit expensive. On the top floor of the place, it has 5 floors, there was a shop called "The Indian Loft" with some kick ass wolf stuff, but it was all extremely expensive.
Monday: Hmm...I didn't do anything of interest.
Tuesday: I went back to the Pavilion area and bought a wolf beach towel. I'll have a pic of it up later.
Wednesday: That night, someone made a not a sand castle but rather a large sand penis on the beach.
Wednesday or Thursday (I don't remember which): I believe I spotted a lesbian couple at the indoor pool in the hotel. They seemed to be attempting to drop hints for me to leave. Subsequently, I didn't leave.
Thursday: Storms hit Thursday night/Friday morning. Great lighting show.
Friday: Left the hotel around 10:30 am and got home about 7:30 pm.
Tropical Storm Alex: The edges merely clipped Myrtle Beach. It hit at night, so I didn't even lose any potential beach time.
