Jul. 16th, 2005 01:54 amSome woman comes up to the drive-thru at 2355 (we close at midnight, mind you) and orders 15 double cheeseburgers. I must've had that deer caught in the headlights look, as this was 5 minutes before close and we only had like 3 pieces of regular. Christy gets on the headset and explains that we are about to close in 5 minutes and the order is too large for this close to close. The woman gets all pissy. Christy even suggested she go to the Elizabethton McDs.
What kind of person gets all pissy about a rather large order being turned away 5 minutes before the place closes? What's the logic behind such thinking? Who expects any fast-food place to have that much food cooked that close to closing?
Anyway, all night we had large orders. The universe decided it wanted me on table, where the pressure is higher when we have rushes/large orders.
