Sep. 1st, 2005 09:33 pmYou know, maybe some Apache helicopters would put enough fear into the criminals down in New Orleans to control them. Or maybe some other aerial gunship. Maybe seeing other armed gangs getting mowed down by chain/machine gun fire from helicopters would make them think, "Oh f**k! They mean business!"
Another thing that just might make the evacuations go smoother, standing orders to shoot anyone deliberately interfering with evacuation efforts. And an order to give priority to the innocent in the evacuations. If someone wants to make things worse for others, let them stay in the city that much longer.
What about bringing an aircraft carrier as close to the city as possible, evacuating people to it, and setting up a tent city on the deck when space inside the ship runs out?
