Dec. 1st, 2005 11:51 amWell, I finally got my other 20GB drive back (I had to use it for a class). While I was putting it back in, I went ahead and swapped out my 250 watt power supply for a 300 watt one (I know, both are weak, but I'm not using all that much power).
Unfortunately, my mom's PC doesn't want to connect to the WiFi at home. I've re-installed the driver, swapped the card, put it in a different PCI slot, and done everything I can think of other than reinstalling Windows (can't do that until I either get a blank CD so I can download a WinXP ISO from MSDNAA or I head back to RJ's so I can retrieve my binder full of software). I suppose I could use the restore disk that came with her computer...but I hate all that extra crap HP installs. If anyone else has any ideas, I'll gladly welcome them.
Until my mom's machine is fixed, my desktop has become the 'Net machine for everyone else. Which means I can't just leave it booted into Mandrake. I just have one issue with it, though. Konqueror crashes...wouldn't be an issue but I like GUIs when shuffling files around. I guess I'll just have to get used to the command line and doing a lot of cp * /home/aeth/Desktop/foo.
On a final note, it's World AIDS Day.
