$409 and it's all gone
Jul. 29th, 2006 03:23 amWell, not technically. I put $100 of it in the bank, gave $200 to my mom for groceries, and used the rest for mostly needed stuff like gas or minutes for my phone (well, while not necessary, it is nice to have in case of an emergency or calling long distance) and my usual ritual of eating somewhere other than McDs. I splurged a little on a 512MB Sandisk Cruzer Mini flashdrive to replace my old 128MB Lexar one (probably give that one to my cousin who's gonna be starting college this fall). Also bought laundry detergent...only to end up not needing to buy it at all (grandparents were out buying it when I initially showed up at their place to do laundry...only I didn't know that that's what they were out doing).
Eh, a little behind on where I want to be with my MFM savings, but, worst case scenario, I can drop my food budget some (I wouldn't have to cut out meals, just drop to cheaper ones...like shit off the McDs Dollar Menu). Or lower my overbudgeting for gas ($150 when current estimates put total gas expenditure at ~$100). Of course, I'll be getting balance of aid money about a week before the con, so I can use that to pick up the slack, too.
