Tried to cheer myself up
Jul. 28th, 2007 02:54 amAfter napping for an hour to make up for last night's short, shitty sleep, I decided to run to Books-A-Million. I didn't find anything terribly interesting. Heh, I find like $10k worth of books to buy when I'm broke, but practically nothing when I have money.
Still feeling shitty, I ran over to New Beginnings (hey, I know where it's at, unlike pretty much every other bar/club). I watched the drag show, which actually included 2 songs I like ("I Love Rock 'n' Roll" and "Goodbye Earl"). Towards the end of that, someone actually came over, introduced himself, and chatted with me a bit. Sure, he was only doing it 'cause I looked bored, but it's better than nothing. After that, I watched a twink dance around practically naked (had a loin cloth thing on and not much of anything else).
I then made a snap decision to go see The Simpsons Movie. I liked it. I liked it far better than the last several seasons of the show. Seeing that movie in theaters marks the first time I've done that since last year when I saw RV with the RJs at the mall down in Knoxville.
