On the way to work, I noticed that one of the local restaurants has one of those signs that tell the time, temperature, and an ad or two. It said the temperature was 103. That was freaking brutal. Lot duty was down to 30 minutes at a time until like 9 or 10pm. I ended up having 3 tours of duty out there. You'd think with all that damn heat that people would decide it too damn hot to go grocery shopping.
In other news, my car's odometer finally passed the 90k mile mark. For those that don't know/don't remember, it's a 1989 Chevy Celebrity. Took 18 years to put that many miles on it. It should pass 100k miles in the next year. I've generally been putting 9k-10k miles on it every year, and I should hit the high end of that estimate just 'cause of MFF (1300 miles or so round trip) and, hopefully, FWA (550 miles or so round trip).
