Country Music
Dec. 4th, 2007 03:15 pmWhy is it that it seems like country music is the most despised genre in the fandom? What makes it so superior to techno or whatever the Hell it's called that's so popular in the fandom?
Maybe it's from where my mom was always listening to country and southern rock when I was growing up, but I can at least appreciate some country music. It makes me wonder if furs only think about the stereotype of country being about a guy's wife/girlfriend, dog, and truck all leaving him and such. Heh, they should just think of such songs as emo. The fandom seems to totally ignore songs like Hank Williams, Jr. - A Country Boy Can Survive, Kenny Chesney - Young, Keith Urban - Where The Blacktop Ends, Montgomery Genry - Hell Yeah, or Montgomery Gentry - Hillbilly Shoes when it comes to judging the genre.
