FWA is coming up almost too fast. 38 hours from now, I'll probably be in Atlanta (or getting awfully close). I'm going to try to get most of my clothes packed before work so I don't have to worry about it Thursday morning. Laundry will be done in about 24 hours to make sure I've got clean pants for the con (I've only got 5 pairs of public wear pants (other pairs have holes and such in them)). After work, I'm going to stop by Wal-Mart for some supplies. Maybe some more batteries for my camera (mine seem to disappear for some reason), and maybe another 2GB SD card for it, since Wal-Mart's site lists a 2GB card for only $25 (when I bought the camera, 2GB was $80 at Wal-Mart). A few other things, too.
I'm debating the order of things Thursday. I might go for this order: pick up rental car, pick up paycheck, buy some snacks while picking up paycheck, toss my stuff in the rental car, and then really head off towards Atlanta. I might put my stuff in the rental car when I pick it up instead. Gah, decisions, decisions. I might put my stuff in the rental right when I get it just because it gives me a little more time to think about things and make sure I didn't forget anything. I have to head past home after getting the rental and my paycheck regardless of when I pack the car.
Bleh, still deciding whether to head down through TN into GA to get there or take a route through NC and SC into GA. The TN route I was gonna take will take me past a bunch of construction according to the TDOT site, but I do know a good half of the TN stretch fairly well (aside from the exits getting re-numbered). The NC -> SC -> GA route is overall shorter and faster, but I can't find a nice map of current construction work on the NC, SC, and GA sites like I can on the TDOT one.
Gah, work is gonna be bad. Rain/snow today here. Everyone is gonna be "OMFG! I'M GONNA GET SNOWED IN AND NOT GET OUT FOR 40 YEARS! STOCK UP ON EVERYTHING!" In reality, the highest mountains might get 3 inches of snow. Northerners are probably laughing right now at how little it takes to make people down this way freak out.
