Yep

Today wasn't all that great. It dragged on and on, and I also found out that since I was claimed as a dependent on my mom's income taxes, I won't be getting that rebate check thing from the IRS. I guess that pretty much tosses out any hope of me doing any more traveling this year.

The Blues

After listening to the Brian May tracks "Bluesbreaker" and "Let Me Out", I've taken to wandering towards the blues a bit. After an odd bit of YouTube searching that started with me looking up some of the acts from the FWA variety show, I ended up on a video tutorial for a simple blues bit. I'm quickly picking up the track, and I've managed to pick up most of it after maybe an hour or so.

That's me playing with the first 2 bars of it a bit. I've actually got the amp set to clean output. Towards the end, I stomp my pedal and give it a boost into a more distorted, rock-y sound.

I also hurt myself just to let you all listen. My chair didn't move when it was supposed to, so I fell flat on my ass while attempting to plug in the cable between my amp and my PC. I also experimented with making it stereo sound although only very basic.

Only European dates at the moment, but it's basically said there will be a South American tour. It also mentions an appearance on Al Murray's Happy Hour on April 4 where the band will show off one of the new tracks, C-lebrity. I'll probably be downloading that episode within hours of it airing :P
