Suggestions

Earlier, I bought a cheap WiFi card for that old laptop. Well, in order to have minimal fuss with getting the card up and running, I'm trying to put Win2k on it. The only problem is that the Win2k installer seems to hang at 17-18% complete with the format. For some reason, it's not liking any other discs at the moment, so I can't just boot into rescue mode from a Linux disc and format that way (CentOS 5 had no issues with formatting the drive). Any idea what to do?
