The band's MySpace page was totally off on the time. It said 8pm, but the place didn't open until 9pm. I missed the other fur that was gonna be there by moments (caught a flash of tail as it entered the car). I'm assuming he headed on home (Knoxville area fur).

The opening act took the stage around 10:30pm and sucked balls. Their music was crap, but I guess you'd like it if you can stand whatever it is that's played on these new rock stations. The singer was an attention whore, and not in a good way. He'd see someone with a camera, pose, make a face, and hold like that (still singing, of course) until the flash went off. He even did that when he was off the stage. Oh yeah, his attire was a direct rip off of Green Day's look for the American Idiot album. The stage seemed better when he got off it and wandered through the crowd while singing/screaming. I was quite happy when they finally shut up and got off the stage.

Girlz Girlz Girlz finally took the stage at around 12:15am. They friggin' rocked! The entire audience sang along with virtually every song (aside from the snippet of some Backstreet Boys song they snuck in). The only thing that really sucked was that the vocals were mixed low (I think).

I managed to get up front on the right side (guitarist's side). I was close enough that I could hear everything except vocals without the PA system. I think that's why I could barely hear them. The guitarist had a huge Marshall amp, the drums were loud enough that the kick drum was noticeably vibrating my clothes a bit, and I was almost directly under one of the PA speakers. I was essentially getting it in stereo. Towards the end of the show when there were more songs I really enjoyed, people started noticing that I had my tail on. They were having fun with it and stuff, but they basically dragged me back a bit. After they let go, I grabbed it up and used it as an air guitar. I probably looked like a complete doofus air guitaring with my tail, but it was fun.

Edited to add:
I finally fixed the stupid issue of the strings either resting against the bridge pickup or the strings being too high off the fret board on the Les Paul. Turns out that 2 height adjustment screws for the damned thing weren't installed properly or something. After getting the little decorative cover/holder thing off, it was a simple fix, but I did end up just pulling out 2 springs that, while not necessary, help stabilize the pickup in the body. The looseness might make for something interesting (or something horrible).
