I've reserved a room for FWA '09. Still need people to fill it with, though. I think
pyrofox is on board for it, but it's just me and him so far.
My classmates in my Java class continue to seriously disappoint me. We just had a test in there. Half the class made 90 or better, but the class average was still a 74. There were people in there for almost 3 hours, and they still didn't finish. Instead of coming 45 minutes early like most did, I showed up at the normal class time, spent maybe an hour on the test, and still finished before most of them. I don't even consider myself a good programmer, and I understood stuff way better than them in my first programming class. I'm wondering if they went into CS for the money instead of actually being interested in the field.
My little wiki (potentially NSFW) is slowly growing. Feel free to add whatever you want to it.
Edit:
Just downloaded and installed Microsoft XNA Game Studio 2.0. Anyone want to be bothered by a wolf prodding around with C#?
Editedit:
Microsoft's Hyper-V technology...worth checking into? I've got a free copy of Windows Server 2008, and I noticed it had built-in virtualization technology. Should I try it or should I just stick with Server 2003 and VMWare?
