Queen+Paul Rodgers The Cosmos Rocks is largely meh. If you're a Paul Rodgers fan, it's probably fantastic, but I'm not totally into his work. I recommend just buying the few worthwhile tracks off iTunes. Cosmos Rockin', Warboys, C-Lebrity, Surf's Up...School's out. Paul and Brian really should've worked together on songs and shown off how hard of a band they can be.

I'm going to purchase the deluxe edition when it hits the US in a week. That version includes most of the Super Live in Japan DVD, which wasn't released in the US but is far better than Return of the Champions.

AC/DC Black Ice is largely meh. I rank it above Ballbreaker, Blow Up Your Video, Fly on the Wall, and Flick of the Switch, but that's not really saying much since those are the weakest AC/DC albums. It's still listenable, but it works better as background music than total rock out material. I think they should consider pulling those last songs they wrote with Bon out of the folder they're in and record them on their next album. Angus and Malcolm just don't have that same spark that Bon could bring to the songwriting table.

I picked up the deluxe edition of Black Ice earlier. The best part about it is that the case is better than the stupid digipack cases Sony uses. Since the deluxe edition includes a bunch of photos and the lyrics, they made the case into basically a small hardcover book. It's a nice little addition for only a $2 price difference.

Also, I managed to find a copy that didn't include the disc. Wal-Mart let me exchange, so all is well. I wonder if there's a copy floating around somewhere with 2 copies of the disc in it.
