VH1 Classic
Oct. 30th, 2008 01:33 pmOne of the TVs in the Culp Center is set to VH1 Classic right now, and they're apparently showing The Who all day and night tomorrow. I wish I still had that channel. From the clips they showed in the commercial for it, it looks like they'll be showing at least some footage from the band's last gig with Keith Moon. While not the greatest performance by The Who, they did manage to record possibly the most awesome moment in rock videography during Won't Get Fooled Again. When the band returns after the organ solo in the middle, the cameraman managed to catch Pete Townshend sliding across the stage on his knees and towards the camera as pyrotechnics go off in the background while Roger Daltrey screams "Yeah!". It's way more awesome than I can convey in simple text.
VH1 Classic is doing a top 10 metal bands right now...and they listed Kiss in there. I don't see Kiss as a metal band. They have the look, but most of the stuff I've heard from them is standard hard rock/pop rock/glam metal fare and nowhere near metal.
Also, I went and did the whole early voting thing today. Now it's just a waiting game to see how everything is gonna play out.
