Hmm

With Circuit City going out of business, I'm hoping I can score a slightly more up to date TV on the cheap. When I was in there Wednesday night, I noticed a lot of clearance stuff, and I thought it was a bit odd that they had rather basic signs for it instead of their usually nicer ones. I ended up snagging a brand new PS2 controller for $15 on clearance.

My NES works pretty much flawlessly now. I replaced the 72 pin connector (it's what the games connected to), and it works like new now. Now I gotta get another controller for it and find a better replacement for the power cable than one for an old set of PC speakers. While I was at it, I also grabbed a set of A/V cables for my Sega Genesis. There's not a massive improvement in video, but I can tell on some of the smaller details/text.

I hadn't noticed the difference between component and composite video until recently. I recently picked up the GTA trilogy pack thing (III, Vice City, and San Andreas) on the PS2, which I have run through the component input on the TV in my room. My brother was wanting to play San Andreas, so I hooked up the PS2 in the living room so I could sleep while he played. Well, the TV in the living room has only composite inputs (well, s-video, too, but I don't have the cable for that), and it looked like ass on that TV.

Edit:
I'm thinking of using a bit of my tax return monies to get a cheap in-car GPS. I was thinking something in the $150 or under range and was looking at the TomTom One 125 at the moment. Any recommendations?

Edit-edit:
I got bored and did the FA voice meme. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1898597/
