Let There Be Rock - The Movie
Mar. 11th, 2005 03:25 pmI just got my paws on a copy of Let There Be Rock - The Movie (for those who don't know, it's the Paris '79 concert from AC/DC's Highway to Hell tour) and watched it. It was all good, except for the camera work in the first half of it. They also threw in some taped interviews with the band right in the middle of the concert. During "Walk All Over You", they played footage of Phil Rudd driving a Porsche across a frozen airfield with Cliff Williams following alongside in an old biplane and ending with Bon Scott playing around on some ice and then riding off on the hood of the Porsche. While that would've made for a pretty good music video, I would've rather seen the band playing. They also cut out "TNT", which is one of my favorite songs to see/hear performed live.
Hopefully, the DVD (whenever they get around to putting it out) will fix all that extra stuff being tossed in during the middle of the concert.
