Last Night + Work
Jul. 16th, 2007 02:30 amSaturday night, I hung out with Jakfox, a local fox. He was apparently afraid of New Beginnings, so he needed a big, strong wolfy to come protect him...and some alcohol to calm him down. He's a Marine, so the fear made some sense, what with DADT and all. It ended a bit earlier than he wanted after he had some bad pizza from Little Caesar's, which he had praised about 20 minutes before getting sick from it.
Work was alright today, pretty much a neutral day for the most part. Ended up catching lunch with a coworker, which was nice. We tend to babble about computer stuff at each other. We're both IT students over at ETSU, but I'm a year ahead, so I can kind of give him pointers. Told him how to get a negative test score in Sanderson's class.
About 2130, I got called over to the front office to help a customer. It was a slightly crazy old-ish lady. She was having trouble finding stuff. I still don't know where much of anything is, unless it happens to fall under something like "frozen food", "produce", etc. Anyway, she was too frustrated to be shopping, really. She would mention that she was looking for like 5 different things and then be all, "You go look for this." We found everything she was looking for, except some corn bread mix (didn't have the brand she wanted) and pear juice. Heh, she whispered to me about some places that were hiring. I was like, "Umm...okay." She also didn't buy everything she picked up 'cause she only had like $32 to spend. That was kind of frustrating. She also couldn't do math, apparently. She was having issues understanding how much money she had left versus how much she could actually spend (needed $15 left over for stuff from a local Chinese place).
That was the first really odd customer I've had to deal with, aside from the guy with some blood-looking stuff in the shape of a handprint on his shirt that he kept kind of hiding and was acting kinda like he was on something.
Heh, I should get an icon of Aeth in Food City stuff for posts like this.
