Audio Options

Seeing as I had to sort of jerry rig the audio drivers on this laptop to work with XP, there are a few issues. The big ones are that plugging into the headphone out doesn't mute the speakers and that the mic in doesn't work. Given that I like to record my guitar noodlings, the lack of any sort of input is troubling. I'm considering getting either a cheap USB soundcard or a Behringer U-Control UCA202 audio bridge in a pocket. Musician's Friend and Amazon both have largely favorable reviews for the Behringer, and it's decently cheap ($30), so it may be ordered here in a week or two.
