Back in 2003, Brian May and Roger Taylor were an important part of getting Nelson Mandela's 46664 campaign going. They brought the Queen name to give the campaign a boost (not to mention the band's work they had already done for AIDS charities). They also wrote a few songs for the effort, "The Call" being sort of the theme. It's a call for an end to AIDS and a call for equality (and a call to call the number and donate money (different nations had phone numbers to call to donate money, all ending in 46664)).
I think it's more of a Brian song than a Roger song, but it might be a collaboration. Previously, there were only 2 easily obtained versions of this song in circulation, the live version on the 46664 DVD/CD and the bootlegged Capitol Radio version. This is the studio mix of the song, so it sounds killer compared to the radio version (even if the mix is a tiny bit rough in places compared to the radio version).
