That's an attempt at tapping. There are 3 "sections" because I altered some of the settings on my guitar between each one. The first section is me playing with only the bridge pickup, the second with only the neck pickup, and finally back to only the bridge pickup. I like how I get more volume out of the neck pickup when tapping, but I prefer the scream I can get out of the high E string with the bridge pickup.
Anyone think I should just create a filter for these kinds of posts so not everyone has to scroll past my ramblings?
Oh yeah, some of that extra noise comes from the software amp pulling raw data off the soundcard before the soundcard can clean it up some. Guitar Rig 3 (the software amp I use) is supposed to be used in conjunction with a pedal the company makes, but I don't have that. All that noise gets worse once I add in a fuzz box, a gain booster, etc.
